What do we analyse?

Our analyses cover equities (primarily the US stock market), gold and gold stocks, currency exchange rates, commodities (primarily base metals and energy), and bonds. In addition, we look at monetary and economic issues from an Austrian perspective.

We always have a 'big picture' view of how the markets are going to perform over the next 3-12 months. Every Sunday, by 8.00am New York time, we update this view based on the previous week's market action and also look at the likely performance of the stock and gold markets over the next 1-2 weeks. We also review the monetary environment (the outlook for inflation and interest rates).

The Interim Update reviews the progress of the markets over the previous three trading days (Mon-Wed) and notes any significant divergences from the forecast contained in the Weekly Market Update. It is available from 7.00am New York time every Thursday.

This is the home of the TSI Index of Bullish Sentiment (TIBS), an indicator that helps us identify intermediate-term turning points for the US stock market. Also included here are some short-term stock market sentiment indicators, monetary indicators, and gold indicators.

As the name suggests, this is where we list our specific stock selections. After a stock is added to the list its progress is reviewed on an as-needed basis via the Weekly and Interim Updates.

If something happens in the markets that we think warrants immediate attention we will notify our subscribers via e-mail.

At the beginning of each year we describe our outlook for stocks, gold, interest rates, commodities and currencies for the coming 12 months.
